CargoBeamer appoints Tilman Apitzsch as Managing Director Intermodal Operations

CargoBeamer, a leading provider in the field of rail transportation for non-craneable semi-trailers, has appointed Tilman Apitzsch as Managing Director of CargoBeamer Intermodal Operations GmbH with immediate effect. In this role, Apitzsch will head the newly created Business Solutions division, where he will oversee CargoBeamer’s strategic planning to increase long-term commercial and operational excellence. His main responsibilities include CargoBeamer’s commercial strategy, business steering, and business excellence. He reports directly to Chief Operating Officer Boris Timm, joining the management team of CargoBeamer intermodal operations GmbH that includes Tim Krasowka and Alexander Kornblum.

Bringing Expertise from large-scale Intermodal, Rail, and Logistics Projects

Apitzsch joins CargoBeamer after some years at the Boston Consulting Group, where he served as Principal in the fields of transport, aviation, and infrastructure. With over ten years of experience at management consulting firms, he has extensive knowledge of the rail and aviation industries. Apitzsch, who holds a Master of Science in Management and Mobility, has led large-scale projects in traffic and transportation for leading companies in the mobility and transport sector. At CargoBeamer, he will leverage his extensive expertise to elevate its intermodal services.
